KLIMAKA has been operating since 2007, the Suicide Intervention Line with the number 1018. The Line operates on a twenty-four-hour basis, 7 days a week and accepts calls from mobile or landline phones, from all regions of Greece, with a local charge. Calls are anonymous and confidential.
It is aimed at people who are thinking about suicide, who have attempted suicide in the past, people with self-destructive behavior, people who are experiencing loss, or are worried about someone of their own.
SOS Hotline– 1031
The main objective of its operation is – respecting confidentiality and anonymity – to provide direct access to information about psychotropic substances and their use, prevention and the operation of Prevention Centers, treatment and existing services, OKANA and its programs, personalized short-term counseling support, immediate help and psychological support in crisis situations, which are related to the use of substances (withdrawal syndrome, suicidal behavior, relapse prevention) .
The qualified staff of the Phone Line is available to the public by calling the four-digit number 1031 Monday to Friday 08.00 to 16.00.
Support line “ITHAKI” KE.TH.EA – 1145
Addiction support and treatment programs.
Services: Information on issues related to addictive substances. Information about problem solving services throughout Greece. Psychological support through the process of active listening and discussion over the phone in a climate of trust and respect. The Line operates with urban charges for the whole of Greece.
KETHA gambling help line – 1114
The Psychological Support and Teleconsultation phone line 1114 aims to provide information and help on issues that problem gambling creates for the players themselves, their family members and their friends. The Line operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Communication is anonymous with respect for privacy. Information and support services are also provided via e-mail (remote counseling) at 1114a@kethea-alfa.gr . The charge for the call is set by the mobile or landline operator.
Psychosocial Support Phone Line – 10306
The help line 10306 operates free and anonymously 24 hours a day. It is addressed to citizens of all genders and all ages for any mental health issue that concerns them (e.g. stress, family issues, bereavement, panic attack). The purpose is to provide support, information and guidance, if necessary, to make mental health accessible to all of us.
By calling 10306 from a landline or mobile, free of charge, you have access to the following services by pressing keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively:
1. Provision of psychological support 24/7 This service is served by psychologists in 4 shifts.
2. Provision of psychosocial care. Daily 09.00 to 21.00. This service is served by social workers in 2 shifts. The service does not operate in the evening hours because inquiries are related to welfare services.
3. Provision of psychological support to families, children and teenagers. 24/7 This service is served by psychologists and social workers and the Smile of the child with diversion to the number of its telephone center at 1056 for the hours 21:00-09:00.
4. Provision of psychosocial support to refugees from Ukraine. Monday to Friday 09.00 to 21.00. This service is served by psychologists who speak the Ukrainian and Russian languages.
The SOS line – 15900 (for Gender Violence)
The SOS line 15900 is a nationwide service that enables women victims of violence or third parties to contact a gender-based violence agency directly. The line is staffed by psychologists and sociologists who provide immediate assistance in emergency and emergency cases of violence on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year. At the same time there is the possibility for the women for digital communication.

Te “help-line 210 6007686” is addressed to children and teenagers and their families, providing support and advice on issues related to the use of the Internet, mobile phone and electronic games (harassment, addiction, harmful content, pedophilia, etc.). The Helpline is one of the three axes of the Hellenic Safer Internet Center which is implemented with the co-financing of the European Commission in the context of the Safer Internet framework program with the other two axes, the Information Action saferinternet4kids.gr and the Hotline for Complaints about Illegal Content and Illegal Behavior on the Internet SafeLine.gr.
E.K.K.A. National Center for Social Solidarity – Direct Social Assistance Line – 197
The Social Helpline «197» is free of charge (no charge from a landline or mobile phone) for citizens and operates 24 hours a day, as an emergency line to provide psychosocial support to adults. It is addressed to those who face difficulties or problems of a psychosocial nature, but mainly to individuals, families and vulnerable population groups, who are going through some form of crisis or are in an emergency situation, such as for example victims of domestic violence, adults and the elderly who need immediate psychological support and social assistance, people in crisis and/or at risk of harm, victims of illegal trafficking for the purpose of sexual or economic exploitation, victims of natural and other disasters, etc. The Line operates on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year.
National SOS Hotline – 1065
National SOS Phone Line 1065 makes a positive contribution to cases of reporting the disappearance of the elderly but also to cases of reporting mistreatment, abuse or neglect of the elderly.
The National SOS Phone Line 1065 is addressed to Elderly victims of neglect and/or abuse, victims of financial exploitation, victims of mental, physical and/or sexual violence, elderly people facing family and/or social problems, elderly people facing problems from their children, with serious health problems.
National Phone Line for Children SOS – 1056
The National Phone Line for Children SOS 1056 is operated by “The Smile of the Child” and is available to every child and adult to provide support on issues that concern them. It is available nationwide, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls to the SOS Line 1056 are free of charge from landlines and mobile phones.
European Helpline for Children and Adults 116111
The European Child Helpline 116111 provides free psychological support to children as well as adults and plays a decisive role in the prevention of violence that children may face (Physical, Sexual & Psychological Abuse, Neglect, Bullying, Illegal Trafficking & Trafficking) as well as in cases of Disappearance. Line 116111 is available nationwide, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and calls are free of charge from landlines and mobile phones.
National child protection line – 1107
The National child protection line «1107» has a main purpose:
- to provide phone counseling, psychological and social support to underaged, parents, teachers, etc.
- to inform underaged about psychosocial issues that concern them, as well as adults about parenting and child protection issues
- to connect and refer them to the competent Social Protection Services for further cooperation in order to deal effectively with each problem.
- to receive requests and reports for underaged who are at risk (due to abuse, neglect, trafficking, exploitation or victimization) and to forward complaints of neglect-abuse of children to the competent local Prosecution Authorities
- to cooperate with the Prosecutor’s Office and other competent authorities for the immediate social protection of underaged at risk
- to mobilize the social intervention mechanisms of the E.K.K.A. and/or other Services to provide psychosocial help and support to underaged
- to cooperate with public and private child protection agencies for the immediate service of urgent requests for social care and protection of underaged, as well as support for their families.
- to inform citizens and agency employees about the fostering and adoption of children, the operation of the new ANYNET electronic platform, in the context of the implementation of the Law 4538/2018 «on fostering and adoption»

The child’s advocate investigates specific violations of children’s rights by organizations or individuals and suggests ways to protect them, tries to make children’s rights known to everyone and first of all to the children themselves, makes sure that children participate and that their voice is heard in matters that concern them, monitors the implementation of laws for children and makes proposals to the State to take measures in their interest, meets children in the places where they live, are educated and spend their daily lives, discusses the problems that concerns them and listens to their opinions and suggestions.

It’s for lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, queer and intersex people, their families, educators and anyone with questions about sexual orientation and gender identity and/or expression. The organizational and scientific team 11528– DIPLA SOU encourages and seeks cooperation, information and awareness of society in matters related to gender identity, same-sex companionship and sexual orientation. It contributes to the prevention, intervention and fight against discrimination, hate speech, homophobia/transphobia, social exclusion due to sexual orientation and gender identity and the discreet silencing thereof.
