  • Location: Rio Campus, Building A (Rector’s Office), Ground Floor – rear side. The facility is accessible to people with mobility impairments.
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 18:00 PM.
Whom does the Center for Psychological and Counseling Support provide services to?2026-01-09T12:36:15+02:00

The Center provides its services to all members of the university community (students and staff). Priority is given to students in all programs (undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral candidates).

All of the Center’s services are provided completely free of charge to all members of the University of Patras academic community.

Appointment and Meeting Process

How can I schedule an appointment?2026-09-09T13:18:12+03:00

The process is handled exclusively through the Application form.

  1. Fill out the form online.
  2. A representative from the Center will contact you via your academic email (@upnet.gr or @upatras.gr) to suggest the first available appointment.
  3. Note: You must confirm your appointment within 7 calendar days, otherwise, the application will be canceled.

The first meeting is with a social worker. The purpose is to gather your social history and note down your needs and goals. After that:

  • You will either continue receiving support from the Social Worker,
  • or you will be referred to a Psychologist at the Center for short-term psychological support (15 sessions).
What if I belong to the Agrinio or Messolonghi branches?2026-05-05T08:33:21+03:00

You can use the services as usual by following the same application process. Sessions are held in person in a specially designated area of your branch, following consultation with the Center’s staff.

No complicated paperwork is required to apply for our services. Students simply need to present their student ID, and staff members need to provide a letter of employment.

If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please notify the Center’s office via email or phone call, at least 24 hours in advance, so that the slot can be made available to another interested applicant.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Are my conversations confidential?2026-05-05T08:34:32+03:00

Absolutely. The Center’s staff (psychologists and social workers) are bound by professional confidentiality and ethical standards. No information is disclosed to third parties (neither to family members nor to the University).

The only exception where staff is required to break confidentiality (by t law) is if someone poses a threat to themselves or poses harm to others.
